A Brief Moment of Absence

A filmmaking student embarks on a 2000 km solo cycling journey from Ahmedabad to Wayanad, traveling through rural villages and along the western coast of India. With no knowledge of the region or its languages, he sets off without a clear plan, driven by a desire to explore before it’s too late.
What begins as a physical challenge soon turns into a deeper journey of self-discovery. Without a set route, the journey unfolds naturally, revealing the unseen landscapes and winding roads, as well as the people he meets along the way. Their stories and moments of connection become a big part of the experience, adding depth to the unpredictable path. The lack of a traditional narrative structure mirrors the unpredictability of travel itself, where small connections and fleeting experiences shape the story.
